NDHA Member Conversations are conversations by, for, and with fellow NDHA members to explore a range of topics that concern and interest us as nondual healers in the wider world. This is an opportunity to gather in friendship and healership and to come together as a community through inquiry and the sharing of wisdom, knowledge, and experience.
Our first conversation spiraled around the prompt “Nondual Healing: Why now? Why is nondual healing more important than ever – in your life and for the world?”
Confidentiality is always honored during these conversations but when we close our time together we share takeaways and offer them to share with the rest of the community. Here are the take aways from this conversation.
###
A: I think there’s some really good ones we’ve covered. I’ll say… I really like the “create small pockets of coherence”. Or that we can do that. Feels very doable, and also, there’s power in that. There’s feeling in that.
S: I’m thinking most conversations that are grappling with the levels of uncertainty and conflict in the world that we all touched on today instead of contracting, I feel like our nondual view has brought spaciousness to that. I feel an expansion into the uncertainty instead of a contraction of, I don’t know, needing to bang my head up against it, as if in doing so, I could crack it open.
S: A delight — just delight to be together. I’m taking it away.
D: I think I go away with the poetry part. Because it reminds me that there is something more which brings unity and consolation and all of that,
C: Each person is an image of God. And… a gift.
J: I’m leaving with the reminder and the affirmation that when we sit together in conversation struggling with unanswerable questions I find it usually takes us in places where I’m really surprised and opened by. I learn things that I don’t think I would have otherwise.
B: I think I’m leaving with renewed appreciation. Sometimes I forget how it is to be together with people to talk about these things. I’m gonna confess I spend more time than I should online, you know, on Substack and wherever which kind of leaves me just… like “oh my gosh this” and “oh my gosh, that”. You know, it kind of leaves you stuck with all this stuff, right? And just being in community really just leaves it so, so much, right — to know that there’s other people that have a similar mindset – that are open to exploring things.
T: As we were mentioning poetry, I was at that very moment, writing a little song in my head which I’ve now forgotten, but it was something along the lines of “I want to be awake during the night”. That I want to be awake during the night. And I’m sure you guys can figure out exactly what I mean by that.

Ilya Prigogine’s full quote on ‘islands of coherence’ amid a ‘sea of chaos’ reads: “When a complex system is far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence in a sea of chaos have the capacity to shift the entire system to a higher order.”
