For our third NDHA Member Conversation we offered this prompt:

“May you awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence.” ~ John O’Donohue

What is this thing we call “presence”? Come share your experiences, practices, and challenges in deepening intimacy with your own sense of presence and in helping others deepen theirs.

While our conversations are always held in confidentiality, at the end of each conversation we ask “what of your experience and learning here today would you like to share with the greater community?” And below you can read today’s treasures.

What treasures from today’s conversation would you like to share with our greater community?

F: For me, this has been a safe… place… And a gift to be seen and be present.

S: M, I’m working with the words that you used about coming closer, and coming closer to… reality, whatever is going on, coming closer to my pulling away, coming closer to my coming closer. Coming closer to my standing in one place. However it is. So, thank you for that.

M: For me, I didn’t know what to expect exactly, although… I know that being in community with NKH is always nourishing. But this has a smaller experience of being. It was very life-affirming for me, very nourishing to get to know you, just hear where you’re at and to come into the community a little bit more, and into this group today. It was very nourishing. Well, thank you.

A: I think for me, there’s just nothing like being in the presence of fellow ASOS graduates and having the freedom and safety to have such intimate conversation. I think it’s so wonderful. To be present with all of you, and just as who I am.

J: I was pleasantly surprised by how our conversation encroached on the topic of death. Which is, you know, the Great Presence, or, lack thereof depending on how you look at it. I also appreciate what you shared, M, about “Sudden death, sudden birth” in relation to the picture of the Phoenix.

A: That struck me, too. And I think the word sudden… does something to me especially.

This is an opportunity to gather in friendship and healership and to come together as a community through inquiry and the sharing of wisdom, knowledge, and experience.

NDHA Member Conversations will be every third Wednesday of the month on Zoom. These monthly gatherings are open to NDHA members as well as guests interested in becoming members. For details and registration see our calendar or subscribe to our newsletter.
